AGV Products' Odyssey©
Laser Guided AGVs are constructed on the basis of highly advanced
design technology for automated transport. Exclusive point-and-click
guidepath creation offers a new level of simplicity. The vehicles
feature laser navigation and laser bumper detection systems and are
designed for advanced routing and maneuverability.

Vehicle Features and Benefits: |
| Laser guidance:
Affords maximum flexibility for guidepath changes. Since
there is no fixed path for the vehicle, changes can be made to the
guidpath using just a PC. Also provides precise vehicle measurement
using 360° laser scanner and reflective targets mounted throughout
operational area. |

Rugged
design coupled with precise maneuverability: Odyssey vehicles
are built to withstand the most rigorous manufacturing environments.
The solid workmanship of the vehicles are enhanced by the finesse
with which they operate. Odyssey AGVs have quad-directional capability,
and can stop on a dime. Pentium PC on-board:
Featuring only top of the line hardware, Odyssey vehicles are designed
to use off the shelf, commercially available hardware, such as the
Intel© Pentium® processor. Laser
scanning bumper: An AGV Products standard, state
of the art laser bumper systems from SICK allow for programmable,
easily modifiable detection zones. The compact nature of this protection
system allows the Odyssey vehicle to operate in much tighter spaces
and increased vehicle speeds.
Continuous RF Communication: The AGV receives continuous
operation commands from TRACE.
Every .001 second, the system polls the AGV for location and status.
In addition, TRACE also constantly
passes instructions to the vehicle via RF communication.
Operator Diagnostics: Viewable from a screen mounted
on each AGV, these diagnostics give a real-time picture of any errors,
enabling your employees to accurately troubleshoot an event. |
